Unique Ways To Cook With Sriracha Chilli Sauce

March 30, 2022

Sriracha is an incredibly popular sauce. It brings a delightfully tangy spiciness to a variety of Asian noodle dishes that quickly became popular worldwide. Since then, sriracha has been adopted worldwide and used in a variety of Western dishes.

For those who enjoy spicy food, sriracha chilli sauce can be a versatile ingredient to liven up your cooking. This article will give you some fun ways to incorporate sriracha into your favourite dishes.

Sriracha Mayonnaise

This is a simple recipe, but it will add a lot of flavour to your life. Sriracha and mayonnaise are a perfect pair, merging creamy tanginess with smooth spice. While you can add sriracha to many dishes on its own, creating sriracha mayonnaise makes this condiment even more versatile.

You can make your own sriracha mayonnaise by mixing three tablespoons of sriracha sauce, one cup of mayonnaise, one finely grated garlic clove, two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Enjoy your newly created condiment on sandwiches, burgers, or as a dip for vegetables, crisps or chips.

Sriracha Marinade

Another innovative way to use sriracha in your cooking is to incorporate it into marinades for your meat dishes. This adds an excellent depth of sriracha sauce flavour to your dishes.

You can make an easy sriracha marinade by mixing a half cup of lime juice, half cup of olive oil, a quarter cup of sriracha sauce, a quarter cup of soy sauce, three tablespoons of honey, three tablespoons of Dijon mustard, one tablespoon of cumin, and three cloves of minced garlic. Make sure to incorporate all the ingredients well. You can then marinade your meat in this for several hours before cooking and enjoying a deliciously seasoned meal.

Sriracha Popcorn

When you want to add a little kick to your snack time, sriracha sauce is a great addition to popcorn. To make sriracha popcorn, simply mix one tablespoon of sriracha sauce, one tablespoon of butter, and one tablespoon of olive oil in a small bowl.

Once you’ve popped your corn, you can lightly drizzle your seasoning mixture on top. Then toss the popcorn to make sure it is evenly coated with flavour. Use this mixture for up to three cups of popcorn and season with salt to taste.

Sriracha Egg Salad

Sriracha sauce pairs beautifully with mild, creamy foods like eggs. You can incorporate sriracha into a variety of egg recipes, including egg salad, scrambled eggs, deviled eggs, or quiches. We have a great sriracha egg salad recipe that you can start with.

The first step is to boil 6-8 eggs, then peel and chop them up. To create the salad, take a half cup of mayonnaise, two tablespoons of sriracha sauce, one teaspoon of lemon juice, and black pepper and mix well with the chopped egg. Add salt to taste, and then enjoy your egg salad on bread or as a dip for crackers.

Sriracha Buffalo Cauliflower

This sriracha buffalo cauliflower recipe is healthy, full of flavour, and easy to prepare. First, you will need to preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, chop the cauliflower into bite-sized pieces and toss them in a bowl with two tablespoons of olive oil and a pinch of salt. Spread the cauliflower on a baking sheet and put it in the oven for around fifteen minutes.

While the cauliflower is baking, you can create the sriracha sauce mixture in a separate bowl. Combine four tablespoons of sriracha sauce, one tablespoon of melted butter, and one tablespoon of lemon juice. After the cauliflower is fully baked, remove it from the oven and coat it in the sriracha sauce. Then, put the cauliflower back in the oven and roast for a final five minutes before serving.

Spicy Drinks

If you love spice so much that you want to add sriracha to your beverages, there are several great ways to do this.

Spicy Bloody Mary

Sriracha sauce fits very naturally into this classic vodka drink. To make this drink, combine two ounces of vodka, four ounces of tomato juice, a half-ounce of lemon juice, a quarter teaspoon of horseradish, a pinch of celery salt, three dashes of sriracha sauce, and two dashes of Worcestershire sauce. You can garnish this drink with a variety of vegetables or savoury treats, including bacon, prawns, olives, pickles, tomatoes, or celery stalks.

Spicy Citrus Daiquiri

The intensity of sriracha sauce pairs beautifully with the acidity of citrus juices for a unique take on a daiquiri. To make this drink, combine two ounces of rum, a half-ounce of orange juice, a half-ounce of grapefruit juice, one ounce of lime juice, a half-ounce of agave nectar and two dashes of sriracha sauce. Shake well and serve over ice in a sugar-rimmed glass with a lime wedge for garnish.

You can enjoy spicy drinks even if you don’t drink alcohol. Feel free to leave the alcohol out of the recipes above to enjoy a virgin cocktail that still packs a punch.
